One of the most-hyped games revealed at the E3 by Ubisoft was the renewal of Division; the upcoming, Division 2 is the sequel to the first installment. Although Division received heavy criticisms from the entire gaming community, Division 2 is being expected to change that outlook and to provide fans which the first part couldn’t. Many fans worried about the second part of being too focused on multiplayer, but, finally, Ubisoft has cleared everything, and according to them, Division 2 will also include an exciting, vigorous single player campaign.
Earlier in March, Julian Gerighty explained their decision of making a sequel rather than updating the first part. He said, “It wasn’t an easy decision, but there are so many stories and so many experiences that we want to explore within the world of The Division that we felt a sequel was the best way to investigate these things.”
The Division 2 Single Player Mode
The Director of the game, Mathias Karlson said, that in every field, the process of creating something is very important, as it gives you the right knowledge and all the ingredients with which you can craft an even better product. He said that the same team from Divison had been brought back, who would use their knowledge to craft Divison 2 better than the earlier one.
The Division 2 Solo Mode:
In case of the gaming mode, the creative director, Chadi El-Zibaoui recently sat with the Gamingbolt for an interview, in which he said, “The game is completely playable solo, even in-game activities. “There will be specific activities, like the eight-man raids- of course, for this type of challenge players will be grouped with friends.
But we have a very robust campaign, a broad narrative, lots of mysteries; and, if you’re a solo player, you’ll have a lot to explore in the campaign. From day one we’ll be delivering content for all kinds of gear, not just for the hardcore fans, but even if you’re a solo player.”
The Division 2 Release Date:
Ubisoft’s upcoming Division 2 will be released on 15th March 2019, and it will be available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
Tom Clancy's The Division will have a single player mode according to a report by BehindGames.
The news comes from a Community Q&A post that came out during the end of February. The game's developers responded to a fresh batch of questions that they had received.
Below is the question and answer that indicated the presence of a single player mode in Tom Clancy's The Division.
Q: dark_grom : Can I jump between 'single player mode' and multiplayer mode with the same character?
A: The game is built around seamless online integration. Going from playing alone, to playing in a group, to playing PvP will all be handled with very little or no interruption.'
Apart from this, the Devs answered a few other important questions about the game.
Q: Simon Cooper: How large is New York City in the game? Is there any real life accuracy to the layout?
A: We're creating what we believe is going to be the largest and most detailed New York City ever seen in a video game and we want the player to feel like they are actually exploring the city with all its landmarks, street names and atmosphere.
We took a few creative liberties, but you'll definitely feel you are at the heart of a chaotic New York City. In this massive open-world game, we want to give the player as much opportunity as possible to explore and live their own adventure. With the power of our engine, Snowdrop, we can take this very far.
Q: Christopher Andrews: Did you guys consult with any type of military or survival specialists?
A: Ubisoft has a long history of working with experts and consultants. For The Division, we have consulted with ex-CIA agents, the military, survivalists, doctors, as well as experts in this kind of scenario.
We are also lucky to have in our teams, people who have experience on these matters, which is valuable for this game. Some team members have participated in survival training to develop first-hand experience of living without the things we all take for granted like food or water.
Q: mVLAINIC : Can you play CO-OP without any enemy players?
A: In the game you will be able to team up with a group of friends in co-op and jump in and jump out at any time. In certain areas, you can also seamlessly engage in PvP and experience dangerous, suspenseful scenarios; but you will be able to play as a group without being exposed to PvP.'
Q: Andrew Smith: How is The Division next-gen?
A: Our goal is to create the best game possible, offer the players a truly immersive game experience and make them feel like they are part of a real-life situation.
The Snowdrop engine allows us to create a universe offering a wide variety of features, such as a reactive living-world system with complex AI, procedural destruction and dynamic global illumination. We are also able to integrate more objects than ever before in the environment in order to create a devastated New York City that looks both realistic and frightening.'
According to reports in January, it looks like Tom Clancy's The Division might miss out on a 2014 release. Ubisoft has refrained from commenting on these developments, allowing many to believe that they might just be true.

One of the most searched for answers on our site is whether or not The Division can be played as a single player experience. Up until now, the answer has been basically the same one we gave you for Destiny ahead of its release. You can play the game by yourself if you so choose, you’ll just basically be avoiding other players in the world.
As of today, however, Ubisoft has provided a more in-depth answer as to whether or not The Division can truly be played as a single player title, and the answer might surprise you.
Creative Director,Magnus Jansen, told VG247 that he thinks The Division “is a great single-player game”. According to VG247’s preview of The Division, the game can become quite a bit more challenging if played solo, to which Jansen explained, “That’s the content scaling to three players. Obviously we scale stats, the numbers and to some degree the behaviour of the enemies depending on whether you playing as one, two, three or four players. We are not deliberately punishing solo players or incentivising them by making it harder. Absolutely not. The size of your group decides what we throw at the player at any given time.”
“We don’t use a stick, but rather a carrot, to get people on board with multiplayer”, says Jansen. This basically means Super Massive isn’t going to force you play The Division as a multiplayer game. They still haven’t said yet if the game will offer and offline experience, but based on the amount of stuff going on behind the scenes, as noted in the previous paragraph, I don’t see an offline mode being a possibility. I’ve tried numerous times now to email Ubisoft about it, and have yet to receive a response.
As for the game’s campaign, Jansen says, “There’s more than 10 main missions which are these combat focused, rollercoaster rides, more linear experiences, to balance out the complete freedom of the open world, which is a big part of the formula.”
We’re still trying to get in touch with Ubisoft to talk more about how The Division can be played as a single player title, so be sure to stay tuned to OnlySP on Facebook and Twitter for further updates on that front. We’ll have to wait and see on March 8th if The Division truly is a “great single-player title”, as Ubisoft says it is.
